Kindergarten Interactive Math Journals: PART TWO!

Each standard also comes with vocabulary flaps. I complete these with my students before we begin a new unit. We decide as a class what should go under each flap and how it will help us remember that new word. For example, some lessons we use pictures and others we use words. Each day, or as needed, we review what we came up with as a class.
A few of the activities will have loose journal items with a pocket to keep them.
This activity includes word problems for the teacher to read out loud to the class. This skill helps students become better at listening comprehension as well as processing what they've heard and recording it.
